About The Site
I decided to make this portfolio as way to display my work. My rates are much lower than most designers, but I'd also like to make some money on the side to support myself. I would like persue this as a career. The name of the site, I Am Legend, was taken from a wonderful novel of the same name by Richard Matheson. It's a great read and I recommend it to anyone. I'm really not conceited and don't believe that I'm legendary; I just think it's a cool name.
Tools
As far as my work with graphic goes, I started using Jasc Paint Shop Pro around 2001. I used that for about a year or so before finally getting Adobe Photoshop. In addition to graphics, I also use Photoshop for making layouts. I code the HTML myself using knowledge that I've gained over the years. For animated graphics, such as banners, I use Adobe Image Ready. I have ran, designed, and worked for numerous websites over the years (view the Links section for my current sites).
Who Is Alex?
I'm currently eighteen years old and in my senior year of high school. You can view a picture of me here. In addition to computer-related things, most of my hobbies and interests involve music, such as going to shows, screaming (listen here and here), listening to music, and writing lyrics, which explains why the majority of my projects are music-based. My favorite band is Killswitch Engage, although I listen to a rediculous amount of music. I mainly enjoy hardcore, metal, punk, and most inclusive subgenres, although it's certainly not all limited within those. I'm also a big movie watcher. My favorite genre, by far, is horror, and Halloween is my favorite film. I have a beautiful, supportive girlfriend named Erin whom I love dearly. I'm straight edge and proud, but I really don't care if you're not. That's my life.
